About the PHP Password Hash Gen

Generate a secure password hash the way PHP's password_hash() does.

How to use the PHP Password Hash Gen

1. Paste your code into the input box, or click Load Sample to load an example.
2. Enter the password to hash and choose an Algorithm (BCRYPT recommended, ARGON2I or DEFAULT).
3. Adjust the Cost Factor if you want a slower, stronger hash.
4. Press Generate Hash.
5. Use Copy (or Download where shown) to keep the result. Clear empties the box.

Tips

• In PHP, verify a login with password_verify($password, $hash).
• Every hash differs because a random salt is added each time.
• Use a test password, not a real one.
